Walmer Parish Council Website

 Walmer lies seven miles northeast of Dover on a stretch of coast which extends from the famous White Cliffs to Sandwich Bay. On the northern boundary lies Deal Castle and the main Town of Deal . To the east is the English Channel, reaching across the Goodwin Sands to the coast of France. Walmer has a population of over 7,000 and has a significant proportion of elderly residents being a popular retirement area.

 The Parish Council
The Parish Council was formed in 1996 and is comprised of 15 Councillors. The Council meets regularly to discuss matters of interest to local residents. Details of agendas and minutes of meetings can be found on this site along with general information about the work of the Parish Council.
 

 If you would like a specific item placed on an Agenda write to the Parish Clerk at the address given at least 7 days before the meeting. Agendas for all meetings are posted here and on the notice boards (outside the Pharmacy in Upper Walmer and St Saviours Church on The Strand) 3 days before the meeting or you can sign to have copies sent to you at home. Members of the public are welcome and are given the opportunity to speak.
